Recipe: Mayan Goddess Energizing Smoothie!

This is a delicious superfood smoothie that combats body stress, brings balance to your sex hormones and naturally ENERGIZES your day. It’s one of my favorite afternoon “pick me ups”:

Mayan Goddess Smoothie
12 oz coconut milk
1 Tablespoon natural sweetener
1 Tablespoon  cacao
1 Teaspoon maca
1 Teaspoon chia and hemp seeds
1 Tablespoon protein (nut butter, hemp protein)
1 Teaspoon Shatavari powder (amazing for women’s reproductive health!)
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
1 Banana
2-4 cubes ice

Coconut milk is rich in medium chain fatty acids to help boost metabolic function.

Low-glycemic natural sweeteners like royal jelly and coconut sap won’t spike blood sugar levels and contain nutrients, enzymes and amino acids.

Raw cacao is a powerful superfood loaded with antioxidants and super rich in minerals.

Maca is a powerful adaptogenic superfood to help balance the endocrine system and reduce inflammation and stress in the body. Because it is so powerful I recommend using just a teaspoon daily.

Plant-based proteins like Chia seeds and hemp seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and fiber, helping you stay for longer.

Shatavari is a rejuvenating plant aiding in the balance of the female reproductive system and to balance digestion. It is one if my favorite medicinal superfoods to share with female clients who suffer from PMS or irregular periods.

Cinnamon is a traditional medicinal spice that helps balance blood sugar levels and also has antimicrobial and antifungal properties.

Banana is a natural sweetener full of potassium and will add a delicious creaminess to this elixir!
